Being a mom is hectic. Especially when you have to prep dinner every night after a long day of work. For us, we try to eat fairly healthy but that can be complicated with a picky four year old. Trying to appease a four year old’s appetite can leave any mama exhausted and stressed so for this Friday fun meal time, we are adding an adult beverage to our meal time. Ocean Spray® Mocktails can be served alcoholic and non alcoholic so if you have a bun in the oven or are currently breastfeeding, you can try this drink recipe sans alcohol…but believe me, we won’t judge you if you indulge just a bit!
For dinner tonight, we are making Avocado Salad topped with trout with our Ocean Spray® Mocktails Cranberry Sangria. Can you say delish? Check out our recipes below and make a meal for your family! Remember, it’s not safe to consume any alcoholic beverages while pregnant!
Ocean Spray® Cranberry Sangria
– One part wine (pick your fave!)
– Two parts Ocean Spray® Cranberry Sangria
– One sliced lemon
– Handful of blueberries
– One strawberry
Mix together all ingredients, adding blueberries to your drink. Top off with a strawberry and lemon wedge. Serve over ice!
Avocado Kale Salad Topped with Trout
– Salt, Pepper, Paprika, Dill
– Olive Oil
Cut avocado in half and set one half aside. Mush the other half of avocado with Kale to make a dressing. Sprinkle in paprika. Squeeze lemon wedge over salad. Add in tomatos, dice other avocado- add in Salad and set aside.
Trout: Set oven to 400 degrees. Drizzle trout with olive oil, season with salt, pepper, and place in oven for 20 minutes.
Top salad with trout and you’re done! What better way to kick off Summer?
