Top Three Energy Boosts For Overworked Parents With Busy Children

screenshot_20161029-102856As parents, our jobs are a never ending cycle of continuous energy. As a stay at home mom, I found it difficult to keep up with my daughter’s fast pace. Now that she is in Pre-K, I still have to create new energy boosts to stay alert for her after school. After a long day of work, it can be difficult to clock in to your second job as “Mom”. Do not feel bad if you would rather sip wine in a hot tub instead of bathing your kid in your actual tub. We get it Mama! And that is why I am here to help. Power Naps Actually Give You Power

I will let you in on a little secret about myself: I never stopped napping. I am an adult and I believe in nap time for grown ups as much as I do for toddlers. The only difference for us is that if we sleep too long, we can wake up feeling groggy. So, instead of resting for 2 hours, I have found it best to take quick 20 – 30 minute naps to recharge my battery before my busy body toddler makes her way home. It leaves me feeling fresh without disturbing my natural sleep pattern at night. 

A Quick Run Helps Your Mid Section And Your Attention Span

I am all for double wins. And embarrassingly enough, I am still working on getting rid of some baby weight even though my daughter is four years old. While I do not have too much shame in that, I have never been a huge fan of working out so it is still a struggle for me. What helps me stay motivated to take a jog is that I notice that by running for about 30 minutes a day right before it is time for my little one to get out of school, it actually sharpens my attention span and wakes me up. So, I am all for anything that will help me drop a few pounds and be more attentive. Cheers to jogging!

Ridiculously Delicious Lattes Cause Amazing Bursts Of Energy

Recently, Dunkin’ Donuts released its new line of Salted Caramel flavored coffees, lattes, and macchiatos. I have had a great time sampling all three. The best part about the line is that the drinks can be served hot or cold so after a run, I love to order the Salted Caramel Latte cold but in the morning I add a hot Salted Caramel Coffee paired with one of Dunkin’ Donuts’ fully innovated menu items, including breakfast which is served all day. 

With all of the coffee choices out there, I am a fan of Dunkin’ Donuts’ Salted Caramel flavor because of the sweet and salty deliciously blended rich taste. I also love that the coffee and espressos are brewed with high quality 100% Arabica coffee beans. All beverages are freshly ground and brewed to order plus I can add my choice of flavor, dairy, and sweetener. With my hectic life, these are choices I can be excited about!
