    Libra Hicks

Libra J. Hicks was born to Jane and Rodney Smith in February of 1981. Like her father, Libra adapted a love for music. As a child, she loved to sing and learn about how to produces a song in a studio setting. When Libra gave birth to Anthony Jr. aka Moo in December of 2005, she gave up her dreams of being a singer so that she could care for their son. Moo was born with cerebral palsy, epilepsy and a host of other health challenges. Libra Jade founded Our Children's Story (in honor of her son, Moo) which is a 501c3 non-profit organization in 2010. Our Children's Story is an organization that helps families similar to her's find resources for their special love one's. In early 2016, Libra joined a campaign called Changing Spaces Georgia. The goal is to encourage establishments to install adult changing tables in their restrooms for those who are unable to use the restroom the typical way. She along with many other families like her's has had to endure changing their special needs love one on public bathroom floors. Libra is very dedicated to everything that she becomes a part of. Her love and passion for the special needs community are like no other. She works very hard for this community and tries her best to encourage, uplift and inspire other families to stand up for what they believe should be right for their special love one.

This was the quote that started it all.. the humble beginning that is BLACK WOMEN DO CLOTH DIAPER . Donna Wallace-Smith is the Founder of Black Women Do Cloth Diaper, an advocacy group focused on representation of Black parents and children in the cloth diapering world . This mother of 4 is a veteran of the U.S. NAVY and military spouse . Cloth diapering her youngest child opened her eyes to the fact that representation was lacking in the natural parenting world . She realized something had to change, and she decided to take action. Nearly 3 years ago Black Women Do Cloth Diaper (also known as BWDCD) came into being . Donna has worked with businesses, retailers, and cloth diaper brand owners to diversify their advertisement and has helped hundreds of parents to start their cloth diaper journey.
